An Comunn Gàidhealach was delighted to host a one day conference “The Local Mòds - Today and In the Future” on the 24th February at Eden Court in Inverness. There was an opportunity on the day to discuss how we are promoting celebrating and using our Mòds. We are also committed to supporting Local Mòd committees and there was an opportunity to engage in debate about what goes well and what does not go so well with your Mòds. We are using the information gathered to develop and improve events over the coming years. We had interesting programme on the day, full of useful information on topics such as “Funding”, “Mòds and the Internet”, and also “How the Results System works at the National Mòd”. ACG President Maggie Cunningham welcomed everyone on the day. There was a cèilidh on the night at the British Legion in Inverness, with the well known “Black Isle Ceilidh Band”. We were delighted people could join us to discuss together “The Mòds - Today and in the Future” and enjoyed hearing your thoughts and suggestions. A timetable is attached.
