By the Far Coolins le Martin T. Borrell
This thrillin story of murser and intrigue is set in the normally tranquil and neighbourly surroundings of the Isle of Skye. With touches of humour and an acute observation, the plot is fast and sharp, racing with vernacular speed, each chapter ending with a compelling cliff-hanger.
Niall visits the Misty Isle in 1950 and, and one evening whilst rabbit-shotting along the shore, he has a rude encounter with an inpleasant stranger. Some time later, a body drops almost literally upon him.
However, the next morning when the police arrive, the body has vanished! Other disquieting incidents follow, and Niall determines to investigate, despite the obvious risks involved. He manages to unveil the nature of the secret operations, but in doing so lands in dire trouble and is reported 'lost in the Coolins'.
