Iain MacIver and John Murray first appeared on the TV series Tuath Cheòl as New Tradition in the early 90's. As a result of their appearances on the show they released an album called Ar Cànain 's Ar Ceòl in 1995 but with the demise of the show the group became less active and eventually disbanded shortly afterwards.
20 years later the duo were invited to perform at Ceòl's Craic and a new line-up was formed with Coinneach MacLeod on drums, Ross Mackenzie on banjo and guitar and Lynsey MacRitchie-MacKenzie on fiddle and piano. Apart from a couple of familiar favourites on this album is the culmination of two years of writing and collaboration with Lewis writer Donald S Murray.
